June’s RE/MAX Agent of the Month is Ruth Pino from RE/MAX Advantage Real Estate in Gloucester, MA. Ruth was recently awarded the "Small Business Person of the Year" award by the Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce. She also happens to be the first real estate practitioner to win this award and the first female ever to win!

This honor is voted on by past recipients of the award and designed to recognize the contributions of Cape Ann’s small business community from an economic standpoint as well as support for and involvement in civic activities. Ruth is a successful business person and a role model to small businesses in the community. "Being a real estate practitioner is every bit a small business as actually owning your own business. I consider ‘Ruth Pino’ to be a brand; however, I am lucky enough to have the RE/MAX brand and more specifically the RE/MAX Advantage Real Estate brand behind me as well" Pino said.

Ruth has certainly worked hard for this title being extremely active in the community. She is currently the President of the Gloucester Rotary Club, a past President of the Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce and active member of several boards. "I never ask for business as part of my involvement in these organizations but I am seen as someone who gets things done and wants to make a difference. People tend to assume that I run my real estate business the same way."

Ruth has been in real estate since 1981 and has worked both as a realtor and manager throughout her tenure. She joined RE/MAX a year and a half ago and couldn’t be happier. "RE/MAX allows me to promote my personal brand which is very important to me and my reputation" Pino said. She has worked with all types of real estate, buyers and sellers throughout her career and is open to "helping anyone looking to buy or sell real estate." She is a Certified Buyers Representative (CBR), a Graduate of the Real Estate Institution (GRI) and is currently working on becoming a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS). In addition to Gloucester, MA, Ruth’s other service areas include Beverly, Rockport, Manchester and Essex all located in Massachusetts.
